Minimum Requirements:

  • Non-renewable 6-month contract
  • Grade 12
  • Diploma or an NQF 6 qualification
  • Driver's License (Code C1)
  • Bilingualism
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Negotiation and Communication skills
  • Eligible to be appointed as peace officer

Core Responsibilities:

  • Programming and prioritizing target areas for different categories of signs by using the statistic data to enable effective monitoring of illegal signs
  • To identify illegal signs by inspecting to oversee and effect the removal thereof.
  • Store removed signs in different categories, compile inventory, record-keeping to supply records of removals to the office
  • Inform transgressors of the existence and nature of illegal signs
  • Oversee the cleaning of the vehicle, workshop, equipment and storage area by undertaking regular inspections to comply with OHS Act
  • Report broken and damaged advertising signs in writing
