Key performance areas:
- Manage the operationalization of the IRPTN and the operational and business plans of further phases of the BRT systems
- Manage all the internal and external professionals work teams involved in the operations components of the BRT
- Provide overall direction in terms of overall programme management and implementation for all IRPTN work streams
- Lead and manage direct and indirect teams by providing context, setting performance standards, and educating on processes, quality, and policy
- Maintain strategic relationships for purposes of expectation management, knowledge sharing and integration
- Ensure effective financial management control and corporate governance throughout area of accountability
- Establish and manage strategic internal and external relationships inclusive of customers, service providers, and relevant legislative agencies and structures
- Identify and manage project interfaces and interdependencies within and across programmes and projects
- Develop and deliver on Service Level Agreements made with internal and external stakeholders that meet and exceed customer expectations
- A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or business studies
- Postgraduate degree will be an added advantage
- 8 years integrated rapid public network experience, preferably in construction, operations, financial management and information technology which at least 4 years must have been at senior management level

Note: The successful candidate who does not have the NQF Level 5 Finance Management qualification will be required to obtain it within 18 months, in terms of the National Treasury Requirement.
Appointments will be made on a 5 (five) year fixed term and will be subject to the signing of an employment contract, performance agreement and disclosure of financial interest. Candidates will be subjected to relevant competency assessment as well as security clearance / vetting processes.
