Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Valid Driver's License (At least code B)
  • No criminal record
  • Metro Police Qualification from an institution accredited by the RTMC (Road Traffic Management Corporation) comprising of: Traffic Officer Diploma & Law Enforcement Skills Certificate
  • Registered as Traffic Officer
  • OD-ETDP Qualification (Occupationally Directed Education Training and Development Practices or Relevant Diploma or Higher Certificate: on NQF Level 5 or equivalent thereof
  • Registered as an Assessor, Moderator
  • Registered Skills Development Facilitator.
  • Advanced Diploma / B-Tech /Bachelor's Degree: Policing/ Traffic Management/ Law Enforcement on NQF level 6 will be an added advantage
  • 3 years' experience as Inspector/Superintendent or equivalent role
  • 2 years' experience in law Enforcement/Police Training Environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and planning of learning and training material.
  • Oversee the facilitation and presenting of training programmes to achieve learning outcomes.
  • Manage the assessment of learner’s level of achievement and competency.
  • Manage the measurement of quality, impact and success of the learning programmes.
  • Oversee that the assessment outcome is fair, valid and reliable by ensuring that assessment criteria was consistent.
  • Coordinate and participate in ad-hoc/special Law Enforcement and crime prevention operations.
  • Manage domestic violence complaints and incidents according to the Domestic Violence Act.
  • Ensure that the Division is effective and efficient through administration processes.
  • Promote the image of EMPD through maintain good public relations in accordance to the Batho Pele principles.
