Minimum Requirements:

  • Accounting Degree or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
  • MFMA Certification
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Functional planning of the cash management and bank reconciliation sub section to ensure accurate, up to date and reconciled cashbook and bank accounts
  • Manage investments and cash flow processes to adhere to reporting requirements
  • Ensure accurate and up to date expenditure account reconciliation
  • Monitor and report on special payments, land guarantees, forex and travel cards
  • Transfer of funds between City's bank accounts to ensure that internal cash requirements are met
  • Analyse and investigate deviations on cash management reports and report to Senior Manager Cash Management
  • Ensure financial administration processes comply with internal control and governance standards and report on any deviations
  • Organise sub section to maintain the infrastructure needed to produce the required financial accountability
  • Attend to auditor's information requests and queries for the sub section
  • Scrutinize financial indicators report on bank reconciliations and submit to Senior Manager
  • Compile summaries and other reports to Senior Manager Cash Management
