Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Valid Driver's License (At least code B)
  • No Criminal record or illicit activity recorded
  • Metro Police Qualification from an institution accredited by the RTMC (Road traffic Management Corporation) & SAPS (South African Police Services) comprising of: Traffic Officer Diploma & Law Enforcement Skills Certificate
  • Registered as Traffic Officer
  • Diploma or Higher Certificate: Policing / Traffic Management/ Law Enforcement/ Public Administration / Training and Development on NQF Level 5
  • National Diploma / Diploma: Policing/ Traffic Management/ Law Enforcement on NQF Level 6 will be an added advantage
  • 4 years Management experience as Chief Superintendent / Superintendent level
  • 2 years' experience in a Law Enforcement / Traffic/ Policing environment

    Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage the fine administration: section and its operations, in accordance to applicable legislations and policies
  • Effectively manage the CoE through effective traffic fines administration
  • Manage and evaluate financial administration processes and ensure compliance with applicable legislations, policies, SOPs
  • Plan, and ensure effective records and document management system within the sub-section.
  • Manage personnel and performance within the sub-section.
  • Ensure smooth and productive running of operations within fine administration sub-section
  • Management of domestic violence complains and incidents according to the Domestic Violence Act
  • Coordinate and participate in ad-hoc / special Law-Enforcement and Crime Prevention operations

    The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
