Job Purpose:

Support the Engineering Department by undertaking technical work and providing engineering-related assistance within the scope of the assigned area of accountability.

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Civil Engineering
  • 1 year experience in similar environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of the local area and a clear understanding of the needs and priorities identified by the community and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide input on the road master plans which will be proposed and amended from time to time.
  • Assist with the preparation of comments on Land Use applications.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys.
  • Ensure that Occupation Certificates, Regulation 38 Certificates, and Section 82 Certificates are issued at the relevant stages of development in accordance with applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Continuously evaluate own performance, proactively identify solutions to challenges, seek appropriate assistance for unresolved matters, and request training to support continuous professional development.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality work by minimising errors and continuously improving work standards and quality.
  • Maintain professional interactions and ensure ethical dealings with stakeholders at all times.
  • Take ownership of own performance and provide specialist support and advisory services in line with agreed response times, quality standards, and service delivery objectives.
