Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma in Law / Finance or relevant equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification
  • MFMA Certification will be an added advantage
  • 5 - 8 years' experience in a supply chain management environment
  • Interpersonal skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist to ensure that practices and processes are in compliance with the rules and regulations of regulatory agencies and that company policies and procedures are being followed
  • In charge of the contracts into which the Municipality enters
  • Review and ongoing administration of a variety of supply chain and procurement related contracts in support of CoE contract management
  • Provide input to assist with strategic capability and leadership as requested, to ensure personal planning, scheduling and coordination is in compliance with Municipal Systems Act requirements and other applicable legislation
  • Implement and maintain operational process within governance and compliance to ensure current and continued compliance with all regulatory requirements, policies and procedures both internally and externally to CoE
  • Provide inputs in ensuring adequate implementation of governance and risk management practices to ensure effective implementation of Council resolutions with regard to risk
  • Participate in implementation of financial process within SWCM to ensure compliance in terms of the MFMA and other applicable legislation
  • Responsible for customer service orientation to ensure that an aligned customer service excellence culture, which enables rewarding relationship and allows others to provide exceptional customer service
