Minimum Requirements:

  • BSc Chemistry or Chemical Engineering Degree/Environmental Management
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in air emission licensing and air quality field
  • Registration with the relevant Professional body

Core Responsibilities:

  • To develop and implement enforcement and issuing of Atmospheric Emission Licensing strategies, policy and plans, enabling excellence in operational licensing services throughout the EMM.
  • Strategic capability and leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable air quality legislation and council regulations and management of risks as pertaining to air quality management through EMM.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable MFMA and other applicable legislation and regulation in EMM.
  • Provide effective and efficient customer service
  • Ensures efficient and effective contract management in the area of responsibility
