Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Nursing Science (NQF Level)
  • Degree in Nursing/Health Service Management / Administration
  • Diploma in Clinical Nursing Science Health Assessment Treatment and Care
  • Course in Epidemiology/Administration/Immunisation
  • Computer literacy
  • Driver's license
  • Registration with South African Nursing Council
  • 5 years' experience in Health Service Management and Clinical Service Management

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership to the facilities for the development management and control of the comprehensive youth child health, immunisation and outbreak response.
  • Plan, organise, lead, control and facilitate the effective metro-wide implementation of the comprehensive youth child health, immunisation and outbreak response programmes
  • Perform management duties to ensure good governance and manage risks as guided by legislation and policies.
  • Control municipal resources and manage capital and operational budget allocated to programmes in area of accountability while ensuring compliance with the municipal finance management act 56 of 2003 and supply chain management and assets management processes.
  • Ensure customer service orientation.
  • Develop capacity for staff, sectors and stakeholders involved in the programmes in areas of accountability.
