Core Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual budgets and financial reports in accordance with statutory and Council presentation requirements.
Assist with the management, coordination, development, planning and drive of an overall support services strategy of the Department, incorporating overall administrative and financial practices, thereby ensuring compliance with organisational administration, the Supply Chain Management policy, accounting practices and Local Government Acts, Governance as well as HR related issues
Assist with the developing of tactical delivery plans in alignment with operational and organisational strategy objectives in partnership with Departmental leadership to give direction to team in realising the Organisation's strategic objectives
Ensure effective and efficient support services across the Department to implement good governance, and apply risk knowledge and skills within the parameters of prescribed regulatory and best practice framework for good corporate governance
Implement good governance, and apply risk knowledge and skills within the parameters of prescribed regulatory and best practice framework to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, processes and resolutions and minimize risk
Implement operational financial management strategy to ensure compliance with financial controls as contemplated in the MFMA
Optimise quality of internal audit products
Provide support to the Audit Committee

I confirm that all information, including Personal
Information, supplied to the CoE is accurate and
current and agree to correct and update such
information when necessary.
By submitting any Personal Information to the CoE in
any form I acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an
indefinite unconditional, specific and voluntary
consent to the processing of such Personal Information
in the following manner by the CoE and/or third
parties:
Personal Information may be shared by the CoE
with
Verification Information Suppliers for
verification or
other legitimate purposes;
Personal Information may be stored indefinitely
by
the CoE and/or the Verification Information
Suppliers.
I note that if the CoE has utilised the Personal
Information contrary to the Privacy and Data Protection
Conditions, I shall first resolve any concerns with the
CoE. If I am not satisfied with such process, I have
the right to lodge a complaint with the Information
Regulator.
I acknowledge that I may withdraw any consent provided
in terms of this Agreement and if so Personal
Information will only be processed if permitted under
the Privacy and Data Protection Conditions.
A copy of Personal Information kept by the CoE will be
furnished to me upon request in terms of the provisions
of POPI Act.
I unconditionally agree to indemnify the CoE and/or the
Verification Information Suppliers against any
liability that may result from the processing of
Personal Information. This includes unintentional
disclosures of such Personal Information to - or access
by unauthorized persons, and/or any reliance which may
inadvertently be placed on inaccurate Personal
Information provided to the CoE by myself and/or any
third parties.
