Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Project Management / Business Management / Development Studies or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
  • Membership registration with a project management or other relevant professional body will be an added advantage
  • 5 years' experience in built environment, project management, monitoring and evaluation environment

  • A valid driver's license

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic capability and leadership to ensure that sound systems, user-friendly frameworks and guidelines as well as practices for planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting are in place for harnessing in the articulation and implementation of the strategic objectives of the Department
  • Implement and integrate planning and reporting process for the division to ensure effective and efficient execution of assigned tasks and thereby contribute towards the achievement of performance goals by the Department
  • Ensure adherence to governance and risk management requirements to ensure that the division contributes towards EPMO's promotion of good governance, compliance with applicable legislative and policy prescripts and effective and efficient management of risks inherent to its work
  • Contribute to an effective financial process to contribute towards prudent financial management and health by the Department
  • Ensure customer service orientation to ensure people-centred and efficient service delivery in line with the Batho Pele principles.

The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
