Job Purpose:
Implement established work plans to accurately capture, balance, reconcile, and report accounting information in compliance with organisational standards and statutory requirements.

Core Requirements:

• National Diploma in Financial Management/ Financial Markets/ Financial Accounting and/ or Equivalent Qualification
• 3 years in a similar environment

Key performance areas:

• Participate in compiling and reviewing work programme.
• Support the Senior Manager: Financial Accounting implement governance and risk management plans.
• Taking responsibility for budget preparation, adjustment implementation.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of revenue control systems.
• Identify revenue control risks and develop revenue control plans.
• Offer insights and suggest ways to improve revenue growth.
• Produce and review the revenue actuals, budgets, forecasts and all relevant price and volume analysis.
• Balane and reconcile all income control accounts.
• Maintain the revenue database of daily estimated patronage.
• Implement and monitor communication and information flow processes with the managers office administrations and other relevant staff within IRPTN.
• Coordinate the implementation of new tariffs and fare transactions.
• Work closely with the members of fare management and ticketing department and assist in customer negotiations to help the Metro achieve revenue objectives.
• Assist with audit internally and externally.
• Submitting weekly and monthly reports to the Manager Finance Revenue
• Compile reports on all divisional activities and submit to the Senior Manager: Financial Accounting on a weekly basis and monthly basis.
• Preparing working documents for financial year-end statements by capturing report specifications on computer system.
