Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Town and Regional Planning or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
Registration with SACPLAN
5 or more years' experience in a similar environment
A valid drivers license
Core Responsibilities:
Perform all town planning work regarding all aspects of development and land use management in terms of applicable legislation and managing all functions at the Customer Care
Identify and initiate land development opportunities and pursue the necessary processes to ensure the fruition thereof with the assistance of the corporate office and spatial planning by keeping abreast with development trends and needs through liaison with developers, consultants, public and other departments to promote the optimum use of land in a manner that will satisfy community needs and promote local economic development
Oversee the receiving, evaluation and report writing in connection with land development / town planning applications by ensuring that an effective and efficient administrative system is implemented in respect of the receiving and circulation of applications, which allows the manager at all times to be informed about and to monitor the quality of all incoming and outgoing correspondence at the Customer Care area. Furthermore, by ensuring that all staff are familiar with the administrative system and required formats and evaluation criteria
Manage the processing and consideration of liquor licenses against the zoning of subject properties and make a recommendation to the liquor board for consideration
Manage the process of obtaining the comments from all engineering departments as well as the finance department and ultimately the CFO before compiling compliance certificates for all townships
Implement risk management, governance and compliance policy and processes to identify and manage governance and risk expose liability
Manage financial process to ensure the effective use of Municipal funds and assets, as intended in the MFMA
Enable a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitate service feedback and allows others to provide exceptional customer service

The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
Candidates may be requested to submit proof of the NQF level applicable to the qualifications they have obtained.

Information, supplied to the CoE is accurate and
current and agree to correct and update such
information when necessary.
By submitting any Personal Information to the CoE in
any form I acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an
indefinite unconditional, specific and voluntary
consent to the processing of such Personal Information
in the following manner by the CoE and/or third
parties:
Personal Information may be shared by the CoE
with
Verification Information Suppliers for
verification or
other legitimate purposes;
Personal Information may be stored indefinitely
by
the CoE and/or the Verification Information
Suppliers.
I note that if the CoE has utilised the Personal
Information contrary to the Privacy and Data Protection
Conditions, I shall first resolve any concerns with the
CoE. If I am not satisfied with such process, I have
the right to lodge a complaint with the Information
Regulator.
I acknowledge that I may withdraw any consent provided
in terms of this Agreement and if so Personal
Information will only be processed if permitted under
the Privacy and Data Protection Conditions.
A copy of Personal Information kept by the CoE will be
furnished to me upon request in terms of the provisions
of POPI Act.
I unconditionally agree to indemnify the CoE and/or the
Verification Information Suppliers against any
liability that may result from the processing of
Personal Information. This includes unintentional
disclosures of such Personal Information to - or access
by unauthorized persons, and/or any reliance which may
inadvertently be placed on inaccurate Personal
Information provided to the CoE by myself and/or any
third parties.

agreement and accept the conditions therein.
