Minimum Requirements:

Grade 10 or equivalent qualification
Basic HIV knowledge and /or training
Basic training in HIV & Aids counselling will be an added advantage
Ability to read and write
Ability to communicate and engage with local communities
Ability to capture, compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data collected daily, weekly and monthly before it is submitted to the team leader /supervisor
Ability to write reports (numerical and narrative)
Must be Ekurhuleni Resident and be based in the communities where they serve, i.e. Ward- Based (Specify CCC and Ward Number)

Core Responsibilities:

To build AIDS competent communities and individuals at ward level
To reduce new HIV infections through information, education and communication and the provision of services to support behaviour change
To reduce the socio economic impact of AIDS, to affected and infected families by providing care and support
To increase support for people on Tuberculosis and Antiretroviral Treatment to promote treatment compliance
To promote safe and heathy lifestyle through education on HIV/AIDS and health related issues
To facilitate openness and acceptance of people living with HIV/AIDS
To promote Municipal and Governance initiatives and services around HIV/AIDS, including key programmes: such as HIV Counselling and Testing Services (HTS), Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP), Anti-retroviral Treatment (ART) programme and other health services
Identify and refer Orphans and Vulnerable Children as well as the Child Headed Households

I confirm that all information, including Personal Information, supplied to the CoE is accurate and current and agree to correct and update such information when necessary.
By submitting any Personal Information to the CoE in any form I acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an indefinite unconditional, specific and voluntary consent to the processing of such Personal Information in the following manner by the CoE and/or third parties:

Personal Information may be shared by the CoE with Verification Information Suppliers for verification or other legitimate purposes;
Personal Information may be stored indefinitely by the CoE and/or the Verification Information Suppliers.

I note that if the CoE has utilised the Personal Information contrary to the Privacy and Data Protection Conditions, I shall first resolve any concerns with the CoE. If I am not satisfied with such process, I have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
I acknowledge that I may withdraw any consent provided in terms of this Agreement and if so Personal Information will only be processed if permitted under the Privacy and Data Protection Conditions.
A copy of Personal Information kept by the CoE will be furnished to me upon request in terms of the provisions of POPI Act.
I unconditionally agree to indemnify the CoE and/or the Verification Information Suppliers against any liability that may result from the processing of Personal Information. This includes unintentional disclosures of such Personal Information to - or access by unauthorized persons, and/or any reliance which may inadvertently be placed on inaccurate Personal Information provided to the CoE by myself and/or any third parties.
