Minimum Requirements:
Relevant Business Degree or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
1 - 3 years’ experience in a similar environment & ability to manage number of Projects simultaneously
Proven track record in research and analysis
Knowledge of Local Government Legislation
Core Responsibilities:
Advise Minority caucus members in the Oversight Committees through monitoring and evaluating whether the implementation of departmental business plans to enhance the members on the role and functions of the oversight.
Compile and present reports to ensure improved decision making by the caucus team
Identify and initiate research projects to ensure agenda of Committee is influenced and followed to the latter and address the purpose as set out in the Terms of Reference
Conduct independent research on behalf of the Caucus to ensure research projects are delivered according to Caucus requirements and influence recommendation to Council
Disseminate research information to ensure improved decision making and continuous enhancement of the quality of support provided to the Caucus
Develop and maintain relationships and networks with other research professionals to enhance quality of research conducted in the legislature
Provide research and advisory services to the minority caucus members

I understand that privacy is important to the
Responsible Parties and the Responsible Parties will
use reasonable efforts in order to ensure that any
Personal Information in their possession or processed
on their behalf is kept confidential, stored in a
secure manner and processed in terms of South African
law.
I confirm that all information, including Personal
Information, supplied to the CoE is accurate and
current and agree to correct and update such
information when necessary.
By submitting any Personal Information to the CoE in
any form I acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an
indefinite unconditional, specific and voluntary
consent to the processing of such Personal Information
in the following manner by the CoE and/or third
parties:
Personal Information may be shared by the CoE
with
Verification Information Suppliers for
verification or
other legitimate purposes;
Personal Information may be stored indefinitely
by
the CoE and/or the Verification Information
Suppliers.
I note that if the CoE has utilised the Personal
Information contrary to the Privacy and Data Protection
Conditions, I shall first resolve any concerns with the
CoE. If I am not satisfied with such process, I have
the right to lodge a complaint with the Information
Regulator.
I acknowledge that I may withdraw any consent provided
in terms of this Agreement and if so Personal
Information will only be processed if permitted under
the Privacy and Data Protection Conditions.
A copy of Personal Information kept by the CoE will be
furnished to me upon request in terms of the provisions
of POPI Act.
I unconditionally agree to indemnify the CoE and/or the
Verification Information Suppliers against any
liability that may result from the processing of
Personal Information. This includes unintentional
disclosures of such Personal Information to - or access
by unauthorized persons, and/or any reliance which may
inadvertently be placed on inaccurate Personal
Information provided to the CoE by myself and/or any
third parties.
I acknowledge that I have read and understand this
agreement and accept the conditions therein.
