Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma in Public Management, Operations Management, Municipal Administration, Business Management or related field
  • 5 years' relevant experience of which at least 2 years must be in a supervisory capacity

Core Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and oversee cemetery operations and service delivery activities across the area of responsibility
  • Co-ordinate and monitor burial operations and associated administrative processes
  • Oversee cemetery administrative processes and the maintenance of burial records
  • Co-ordinate the allocation of operational resources across cemetery sites
  • Monitor the operational condition of cemetery facilities and burial infrastructure
  • Ensure adherence to legislation, municipal by-laws, policies and health and safety standards
  • Monitor occupational health and safety requirements within cemetery operations
  • Co-ordinate operational interactions with stakeholders and resolve escalated service delivery matters
  • Ensure responsive, professional and customer-focused service delivery
  • Monitor operational performance and reporting on service delivery outcomes
  • Supervise Cementery Supervisors and manage employee performance
