Minimum Requirements:

  • Civil Engineering Diploma or relevant equivalent NQF Level 6 qualification
  • MFMA Certification will be an advantage
  • 1 - 2 years' experience in a supply chain management environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, monitor and control the fair and transparent adjudication process of tenders
  • Plan, organise, lead, manage, implement, control and monitor overall administrative and financial practices ensuring compliance with accounting practices and Local Government Acts, in alignment with the overall finance strategy
  • Provide input on strategic capability and leadership as requested by the Senior Manager to ensure that the required resources to support the strategic objectives are met
  • Implement operational process on acquisition of bids to ensure effective tendering processes are followed in terms of the MFMA and other applicable legislation
  • Assist with the compliance in terms of governance and risk management to maintain and promote good governance and compliance are adhered to and risk is eliminated
  • Participate in the implementation of financial process to ensure adherence to specified standards, policies and SOPs to prevent and reduce wastage on financial resources and escalate associated risk
  • Establish customer service orientation to ensure effective operations management service delivery ensuring compliance with the Batho Pele principles
