Minimum Requirements:

  • B.Tech/ BSc/ BEng Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Registered with ECSA as candidate
  • Applicable valid driver's license
  • Computer literate
  • 4 years' experience in a similar environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage, plan, coordinate, supervise and control metering and accounts related activities
  • Plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate special programmes and projects
  • Develop, monitor and advise on revenue operations delivery framework and strategy, ensure compliance to practices and processes
  • Ensure that operational activities, related to accounts and bulk metering run effectively and efficiently
  • Ensure compliance to governance, relevant legislation and effective implementation of council resolutions
  • Participate in the preparation of monthly and annual budgets and financial reports in accordance with statutory and council presentation requirements
  • Ensure that financial administration delivery processes comply with internal controls and governance standards
  • Manage the capital and operational budget of the metering maintenance and installation sections
  • Manage Customer education and Customer Service initiative
  • Build and sustain relationships with decisions makers and interest groups in support of operational objectives
  • Manage teams within the context of defined processes, identify required performance parameters and clarify roles to achieve operational objectives.
