Minimum Requirements:
N5 Electrical Engineering
Accredited Electrician Trade Test Certificate
Valid code C1 Driver's licence with PrDP
Basic computer skills
3 years' experience in similar environment
Experience in maintenance of municipal electricity distribution, protection and metering systems will serve as an advantage
Core Responsibilities:
Responsible for installation, commissioning and maintenance of Protection, Test and Metering equipment.
Perform routine tests and inspection on panel wiring, battery tripping supplies and protection relays
Test switchgear panels, transformers, cables and all other related test on HV and MV equipment
Supervise the removal of VT's and CT's by Artisan Assistant
Install, maintain and download power quality instruments
Programme voltage-regulating relays and inspect and set relays settings according to set standards
Ensure that completed own and teamwork adheres to governance and legislative requirements
Execute administrative and general duties to promote productivity and service delivery
Investigate and resolve customer queries efficiently and effectively
Maintain professional interaction and ethical dealings with stakeholders at all times

I confirm that all information, including Personal
Information, supplied to the CoE is accurate and
current and agree to correct and update such
information when necessary.
By submitting any Personal Information to the CoE in
any form I acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an
indefinite unconditional, specific and voluntary
consent to the processing of such Personal Information
in the following manner by the CoE and/or third
parties:
Personal Information may be shared by the CoE
with
Verification Information Suppliers for
verification or
other legitimate purposes;
Personal Information may be stored indefinitely
by
the CoE and/or the Verification Information
Suppliers.
I note that if the CoE has utilised the Personal
Information contrary to the Privacy and Data Protection
Conditions, I shall first resolve any concerns with the
CoE. If I am not satisfied with such process, I have
the right to lodge a complaint with the Information
Regulator.
I acknowledge that I may withdraw any consent provided
in terms of this Agreement and if so Personal
Information will only be processed if permitted under
the Privacy and Data Protection Conditions.
A copy of Personal Information kept by the CoE will be
furnished to me upon request in terms of the provisions
of POPI Act.
I unconditionally agree to indemnify the CoE and/or the
Verification Information Suppliers against any
liability that may result from the processing of
Personal Information. This includes unintentional
disclosures of such Personal Information to - or access
by unauthorized persons, and/or any reliance which may
inadvertently be placed on inaccurate Personal
Information provided to the CoE by myself and/or any
third parties.
I acknowledge that I have read and understand this
agreement and accept the conditions therein.
