Minimum Requirements:

  • Non-renewable 6-month contract
  • Grade 12
  • Unemployed
  • Applicant must be a South African citizen
  • Ability to read and write, and understand verbal and written instructions
  • Basic computer literacy and Office Administration
  • Must be based in communities where they serve, i.e., ward-based (specify ward number)
  • Ability to capture, compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data collected daily, weekly, and monthly, before it is submitted to Project manager
  • Basic Report writing and consolidating knowledge will be an added advantage
  • Have Good work ethics and display Professionalism in interacting with all stakeholders

Core Responsibilities:

  • Performing reception, help desk, clerical, and administrative functions including eHealth and TIER.net registrations
  • Implementing a Booking/Scheduling System for follow-up visits by clients/patients according to the standard.
  • Applying effective data management and administrative duties, as per set standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintaining, filing, and retrieving health records including electronic health records.
  • Recording and filing of laboratory test results in health record after being checked by the Professional Health Nurse.
  • Archiving of documents according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Typing of documents and reports as required.
  • Performing logistical arrangements to call for an ambulance as well as maintaining of an Ambulance Register.
  • Ensuring the integrity and effective administration of the department's delivery processes.
  • Ensuring that work is completed well and that the set targets are achieved.
  • Planning and organizing daily work tasks effectively.
  • Using work resources and tools to do work well and inform the supervisor of any short falls. Follow standard operating procedure in compiling sorting and storing information and data.
  • Follow guidelines to ensure safety of information against unauthorized damage, modification, and damage.
  • Ensure completed and submitted information is according to government legislation
  • Submission of weekly and monthly team activities and reports
