Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Meteorology or Atmospheric or Mathematics or Chemistry
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in a meteorologist conducting air quality research and forecasting and running meteorological models to test, review and evaluate the effectiveness of air quality control strategies
  • Registration with the relevant Professional body.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development, implementation, monitoring and review of mathematical simulation of how air pollutants disperse in the ambient atmosphere in EMM.
  • Foster integration of air quality management through EMM.
  • ensure compliance with all applicable council regulations and management of risks as pertaining to air quality management through EMM
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable MFMA and other applicable legislation and regulation in EMM.
  • Provide effective and efficient customer service
  • Ensure efficient and effective contract management in the area of responsibility
