Minimum Requirements:

  • B Degree in Human Resources or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
  • 2-5 years' experience with performance management track record in local government or similar environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Good people skills

Core Responsibilities:

  • Annually compile and align performance agreements in line with Integrated Development Plan and Service Delivery Budget and Implementation Plan and facilitate quarterly reviews and performance assessments.
  • Advise on and contribute towards the implementation, adherence and maintenance of policies as well as national legislations on management of performance within the organisation
  • Contribute to the implementation of performance management and improvement processes that lead to a positive and measurable impact in CoE to ensure the availability of a well skilled, effective and productive workforce
  • Implement operational processes to regulate the implementation of performance management in the CoE to ensure that operational processes are managed to deliver appropriate services that are accurate and of high quality
  • Implement and maintain governance and risk management to ensure reduction/elimination of risk related to talent and performance management
  • Implement financial processes within the division to comply with the requirements of the MFMA and to ensure sound financial management
  • Implement people management in order to provide specialist support and advise in accordance with required response time, quality and service delivery standards
