Minimum Requirements:
BSc / B Eng/ B. Tech in Civil Engineering/ Construction management
5 years' experience in construction and maintenance of roads and building infrastructure
Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Engineer or Pr. Technologist or as with SACPCMP as Project Manager Pr.CM will be an added advantage.
Driver's licence
Core Responsibilities
Manage of the internal BRT processes involve in the implementation of the various projects designed to construct the BRT bus lane, stations, pedestrian bridges etc.
Ensure that all policies, processes standards, by-laws, regulations and town planning requirements are adhered to by the IRPTN unit.
Liaise with Support the Divisional Head: IRPTN Infrastructure with any other infrastructure liaison matters.
Manage and monitor capital expenditure of various projects and processing invoices.
Plan, prepare capital and operating estimates and control expenditure against the approved budget allocations.
Design, develop and initiate site-specific safety plan including an accident-free safe work environment.
Manage, lead, direct, assist and support construction teams to ensure delivering processes on time and within budget.
Implement good governance and risk control processes including identification and mitigating of all risk and issues pertaining to IRPTN Infrastructure.
Compile maintenance programs and reports.
The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
Candidates may be requested to submit proof of the NQF level applicable to the qualifications they have obtained.

I confirm that all information, including Personal
Information, supplied to the CoE is accurate and
current and agree to correct and update such
information when necessary.
By submitting any Personal Information to the CoE in
any form I acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an
indefinite unconditional, specific and voluntary
consent to the processing of such Personal Information
in the following manner by the CoE and/or third
parties:
Personal Information may be shared by the CoE
with
Verification Information Suppliers for
verification or
other legitimate purposes;
Personal Information may be stored indefinitely
by
the CoE and/or the Verification Information
Suppliers.
I note that if the CoE has utilised the Personal
Information contrary to the Privacy and Data Protection
Conditions, I shall first resolve any concerns with the
CoE. If I am not satisfied with such process, I have
the right to lodge a complaint with the Information
Regulator.
I acknowledge that I may withdraw any consent provided
in terms of this Agreement and if so Personal
Information will only be processed if permitted under
the Privacy and Data Protection Conditions.
A copy of Personal Information kept by the CoE will be
furnished to me upon request in terms of the provisions
of POPI Act.
I unconditionally agree to indemnify the CoE and/or the
Verification Information Suppliers against any
liability that may result from the processing of
Personal Information. This includes unintentional
disclosures of such Personal Information to - or access
by unauthorized persons, and/or any reliance which may
inadvertently be placed on inaccurate Personal
Information provided to the CoE by myself and/or any
third parties.
I acknowledge that I have read and understand this
agreement and accept the conditions therein.
