Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Public Administration or relevant NQF 7 academic qualification
  • 3 - 5 year’s experience in a similar environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Mainstream overall Youth Development across departments of the City of Ekurhuleni, ensuring continues development and implementation of youth development programmes and implementation of the youth policy.
  • Develop annual operating plan and secure resources necessary to achieve identified objectives consistent with medium term requirements.
  • Direct, control and optimise resources to meet established objectives, monitor results against business plans, and make adjustments where necessary.
  • Facilitate and monitor departmental programmes and projects in line with Ekurhuleni youth policy and integrated youth development plan to ensure compliance by departmental heads.
  • Review, redesign and ensure implementation of Ekurhuleni youth policy in line with the national youth policy.
  • Implement risk management, governance and compliance policy in own practice area to identify and manage governance and risk exposure liability.
  • Ensure timeous, clear contracting and assessment of performance expectations with direct reports in line with organisational objectives.
  • Influence and communicate with all levels of the organisation to minimise resistance to change and ensure on boarding of all target audiences
