B Tech/ BSc/ B Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification NQF 7
Professional Registration (Pr. Tech Eng/Pr. Eng.)/ Eligible to register with ECSA
Applicable driver’s licence
Computer literacy.
6 years' experience in a similar environment, of which 2 years in management
Core Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall strategic and technical planning, organising, leading and controlling of water meter installation, maintenance, supply chain, design and revenue protection in the division
Develop, drive, implement and monitor the effectiveness of metering relate projects, customer education programs and economic development projects
Ensure enforcement, execution and compliance of related Water Services by-laws, legislation etc.
Develop, monitor and advise on revenue operations delivery framework and strategy, ensuring compliance to practises, procedures
Compile metering projects and metering related reports for the division
Assess projects and initiatives and making recommendations in terms of cost, benefit and risk analysis ensuring alignment to business objectives
Manage and control the revenue protection measures to maximize income for Council as guided by metering policies
Ensure capital based allocations will be aimed at making the water metering effective for sustainable revenue generation
Develop operational targets in support of tactical delivery plans and organisational strategic objectives in partnership with divisional leadership
Establish and manage strategic internal and external relationships inclusive of customer, service provider and relevant legislative agencies and structures
Apply developed policy and practices through effective process design and via appropriate delivery systems and provide feedback
Provide feedback on governance, risk and compliance practices and escalate unresolved issues via appropriate channels for investigation and resolution

The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.

any form I acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an
indefinite unconditional, specific and voluntary
consent to the processing of such Personal Information
in the following manner by the CoE and/or third
parties:
Personal Information may be shared by the CoE
with
Verification Information Suppliers for
verification or
other legitimate purposes;
Personal Information may be stored indefinitely
by
the CoE and/or the Verification Information
Suppliers.
I note that if the CoE has utilised the Personal
Information contrary to the Privacy and Data Protection
Conditions, I shall first resolve any concerns with the
CoE. If I am not satisfied with such process, I have
the right to lodge a complaint with the Information
Regulator.
I acknowledge that I may withdraw any consent provided
in terms of this Agreement and if so Personal
Information will only be processed if permitted under
the Privacy and Data Protection Conditions.
A copy of Personal Information kept by the CoE will be
furnished to me upon request in terms of the provisions
of POPI Act.
I unconditionally agree to indemnify the CoE and/or the
Verification Information Suppliers against any
liability that may result from the processing of
Personal Information. This includes unintentional
disclosures of such Personal Information to - or access
by unauthorized persons, and/or any reliance which may
inadvertently be placed on inaccurate Personal
Information provided to the CoE by myself and/or any
third parties.
I acknowledge that I have read and understand this
agreement and accept the conditions therein.
