Core Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the administrative functions of the building control office to ensure compliance with municipal procedures, policies, National Building Regulations and service delivery standards
Administer and maintain records relating to building plan applications, approvals, inspections, occupancy certificates, correspondence and related statutory documentation
Monitor and control the capturing and updating of building control information on the relevant systems to ensure accuracy, completeness and proper record management
Coordinate administrative processes relating to building p lan submissions, circulation, comments, approvals and related workflows
Attend to public and internal enquiries regarding building control processes, application requirements, fees and status of applications to promote effective customer service
Supervise and manage administrative staff, attendance registers, leave records and related personnel administration in accordance with Council policies
File documents to maintain proper record keeping
Liaise with Finance Department regarding general building related payments to ensure proper management of fees
Receive invoices and arrange for payment in respect of photocopy machines (rental and maintenance) to ensure continuation of service

I understand that privacy is important to the
Responsible Parties and the Responsible Parties will
use reasonable efforts in order to ensure that any
Personal Information in their possession or processed
on their behalf is kept confidential, stored in a
secure manner and processed in terms of South African
law.
I confirm that all information, including Personal
Information, supplied to the CoE is accurate and
current and agree to correct and update such
information when necessary.
By submitting any Personal Information to the CoE in
any form I acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an
indefinite unconditional, specific and voluntary
consent to the processing of such Personal Information
in the following manner by the CoE and/or third
parties:
Personal Information may be shared by the CoE
with
Verification Information Suppliers for
verification or
other legitimate purposes;
Personal Information may be stored indefinitely
by
the CoE and/or the Verification Information
Suppliers.
I note that if the CoE has utilised the Personal
Information contrary to the Privacy and Data Protection
Conditions, I shall first resolve any concerns with the
CoE. If I am not satisfied with such process, I have
the right to lodge a complaint with the Information
Regulator.
I acknowledge that I may withdraw any consent provided
in terms of this Agreement and if so Personal
Information will only be processed if permitted under
the Privacy and Data Protection Conditions.
A copy of Personal Information kept by the CoE will be
furnished to me upon request in terms of the provisions
of POPI Act.
I unconditionally agree to indemnify the CoE and/or the
Verification Information Suppliers against any
liability that may result from the processing of
Personal Information. This includes unintentional
disclosures of such Personal Information to - or access
by unauthorized persons, and/or any reliance which may
inadvertently be placed on inaccurate Personal
Information provided to the CoE by myself and/or any
third parties.
I acknowledge that I have read and understand this
agreement and accept the conditions therein.
