Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in Economics / Enterprise Development or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in the enterprise development environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organise, lead, control and implement enterprise economic initiatives planning and activities for CoE
  • Provide strategic input capability and leadership in the development of the enterprise development policies and guidelines to ensure effective and efficient enterprise development functions
  • Ensure that operational process are aligned with the divisional objectives to ensure implementation of the operational processes as contemplated in the defined operational strategy of the division
  • Manage and maintain governance and risk management activities to ensure compliance with governance and risk management requirements
  • Participate in and implement financial process of the division during budgetary processes to ensure compliance with financial controls as contemplated in the MFMA
  • Manage and ensure customer service orientation to ensure sound relations with the customer in relation to enterprise development activities
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners and clients
  • Foster a culture of innovation, agility and performance across the enterprise development team
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support business case development
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures and strategic alliances
  • Develop and evaluate strategies for enterprise growth, market expansion and revenue generation

The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
