Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification
  • 1 - 2 years' experience in a supervisory or team leader role overseeing cleaning staff
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Experience in allocating duties, monitoring performance and managing daily cleaning operations

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead cleaning staff to ensure efficient operations, high quality cleaning standards, staff discipline and effective team coordination
  • Do quality control to ensure consistency, hygiene, accountability and continuous improvement in cleaning services
  • Ensure cleaning operations to ensure efficient service delivery, high hygiene standards, safety compliance and consistent cleaning quality across all areas
  • Ensure health and safety compliance to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, safety, efficiency and proper maintenance of the entire facility
  • Manage stock and equipment to ensure hygiene, safety, efficiency and consistent cleanliness across all areas of the facility
  • Ensure administration and reporting to ensure proper control, accountability, communication and efficient management of cleaning operations
  • Complete daily supervisor checklist to ensure accountability, proper management, effective communication and continuous improvement of cleaning services
  • Complete weekly supervisor checklist to ensure quality control, accountability, proper resource management, effective communication and continuous improvement of cleaning services
