  • Minimum Requirements:
  • BEng/BSc Eng/BTech/Advanced Diploma (Civil) degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Professional registration with ECSA/Eligible to register.
  • Applicable driver’s licence
  • Computer literacy.
  • 3 years' experience in a similar environment.
  • MFMA in terms of National Treasury requirements will serve as an advantage.

  • Core Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all engineering asset management activities are aligned with the overall asset management policy and procedures
  • Develop and manage Asset Supply Chain Management processes, ensuring that demand management and procurement of goods remain in line with policies
  • Develop and implement various targeted loss prevention programmes, ensuring safeguarding of all assets and resources
  • Monitor, oversee and drive the effective management of the departmental asset management system
  • Ensure all As-Built: drawings are accurately capitalized and componentized
  • Ensure that the Geographical Information System (GIS) is up to date through the verification by the Engineering Technician and Geographic Information System (GIS) Technician
  • Develop / review a strategic asset management plan and business plan ensuring adequate overall motivation to maintain current fixed assets and reduce backlog to acceptable limits
  • Ensure investment on all newly created assets are accurately captured and recorded in the fixed asset register
