Valid Driver's License (At least code B)

Metro Police Qualification from an institution accredited by the RTMC (Road Traffic Management Corporation) & SAPS (South African Police Services) comprising of: Traffic Officer Diploma & Law Enforcement Skills Certificate
Registered as Traffic Officer
Relevant Diploma or Higher Certificate on NQF Level 5
3 years' Experience as Constable/Inspector or equivalent role.
Core Responsibilities:
Enforce traffic law to minimise accidents and promote road safety within CoE in accordance to the Batho Pele principles.
Execute crime prevention activities within CoE to create a safer living environment for all.
Execute By-Laws activities to ensure compliance and adherence to all Council By-Laws.
Execute police duties in respect of crowd management, VIP protection and securing events.
Execute road safety and crime awareness campaigns within CoE to promote awareness.
Ensure and attend domestic violence complaints and incidents according to the Domestic Violence Act.
Promote and ensure good health and effective use of animals in executing policing duties.
Execute administration functions that promotes good image of EMPD that is to be upheld through public relations and in accordance with Batho Pele principles.

In terms of the Talent Acquisition Policy of the City
of Ekurhuleni (CoE), I hereby consent to be subjected
to credential and integrity assessments.
I acknowledge that should the City of Ekurhuleni find
any discrepancies or issues, the City, reserves the
right to withdraw any offer made to me, the applicant.
I acknowledge that any Personal Information supplied to
the CoE is provided voluntarily.
I understand that privacy is important to the
Responsible Parties and the Responsible Parties will
use reasonable efforts in order to ensure that any
Personal Information in their possession or processed
on their behalf is kept confidential, stored in a
secure manner and processed in terms of South African
law.
I confirm that all information, including Personal
Information, supplied to the CoE is accurate and
current and agree to correct and update such
information when necessary.
By submitting any Personal Information to the CoE in
any form I acknowledge that such conduct constitutes an
indefinite unconditional, specific and voluntary
consent to the processing of such Personal Information
in the following manner by the CoE and/or third
parties:
Personal Information may be shared by the CoE
with
Verification Information Suppliers for
verification or
other legitimate purposes;
Personal Information may be stored indefinitely
by
the CoE and/or the Verification Information
Suppliers.
I note that if the CoE has utilised the Personal
Information contrary to the Privacy and Data Protection
Conditions, I shall first resolve any concerns with the
CoE. If I am not satisfied with such process, I have
the right to lodge a complaint with the Information
Regulator.
I acknowledge that I may withdraw any consent provided
in terms of this Agreement and if so Personal
Information will only be processed if permitted under
the Privacy and Data Protection Conditions.
A copy of Personal Information kept by the CoE will be
furnished to me upon request in terms of the provisions
of POPI Act.
I unconditionally agree to indemnify the CoE and/or the
Verification Information Suppliers against any
liability that may result from the processing of
Personal Information. This includes unintentional
disclosures of such Personal Information to - or access
by unauthorized persons, and/or any reliance which may
inadvertently be placed on inaccurate Personal
Information provided to the CoE by myself and/or any
third parties.
I acknowledge that I have read and understand this
agreement and accept the conditions therein.
