Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12
  • Relevant Degree / B-Tech in Policing / Forensic & Investigative Auditing / Law Enforcement on NQF level 7
  • Basic Training Qualification (Metro Police Diploma) will be an added advantage
  • Valid Driver's License (At least code B)
  • No Criminal Record or illicit activity recorded
  • Firearm Proficiency
  • Computer skills required
  • 8 years relevant management experience, with 2 or more years' experience in investigation

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Internal Affairs Section and its operations
  • Manage the investigations procedure
  • Manage prioritisation of reported cases
  • Manage the reputation and integrity of COE
  • Manage personnel and performance within the sub-section
  • Ensure smooth and productive running of operations within Internal Affairs section
  • Management of Domestic Violence complaints and incidents according to the Domestic Violence Act
  • Coordinate and participate in Ad-hoc / Special Law-Enforcement and Crime Prevention operations

The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.

Candidates may be requested to submit proof of the NQF level applicable to the qualifications they have obtained.
