Minimum Requirements:

  • BEng/BSc Eng/BTech/Advanced Diploma (Civil) degree or equivalent qualification
  • Professional registration with ECSA/Eligible to register
  • Applicable driver’s licence
  • Computer literacy
  • 6 years’ experience in similar environment
  • Note: The successful candidate who does not have the NQF Level 5 Finance Management qualification will be required to obtain it within 18 months, in terms of the National Treasury Requirement.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure strategic capability and leadership is entrenched by establishing & managing strategic internal and external relationships, manage administrative functions and implement, plan and drive an overall engineering operational strategy
  • Ensure updating & maintaining master plans and ensuring compliance with EIA and WULA conditions
  • Ensuring optimisation of asset infrastructure capacity and condition
  • Operationalize the process by applying developed policy & practices, identify and analyse process issues and advice on engineering plans and projects for the area of accountability
  • Ensure good governance and risk management by implementing risk management, governance and compliance policy and processes to identify and manage governance and risk expose liability • Maintain effective financial process by monitoring and enforcing effective financial control, corporate governance and financial compliance
  • Implement customer service orientation by delivering on service level agreements and drive an aligned customer service excellence culture
