Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade12/NQF level 4
  • SAESI Diploma in Fire Technology, or IFE Level 3 Certificate, or Completed 2nd year of National Diploma in Fire Technology or any equivalent services related qualification
  • SHE MANAGER
  • Computer Proficiency on Windows Office Programs
  • Valid EC Driver's Licence with PrDP
  • Driver/Operator-Pumps
  • Driver/Operator-Aerial devices
  • Crane Operator
  • TLB Operator.
  • Forklift operator
  • 5 year's experience in a large Emergency Services Division or similar environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Implementing the Auxiliary Services: Specialised Vehicles, fleet and equipment for a religion in accordance with council policy and statutory requirements.
  • Assist with needs assessment, specification and procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Ensure implementation of fleet administration standards and vehicles operating policies and ensure that it is implemented accordingly.
  • Adhere to effective Fleet, technical and logistics management practices and standards.
  • Perform needs analysis regarding vehicles and other equipment as delegated.
  • Monitor and log Fleet maintenance/repairs activities from inception to completion within region.
  • Liaise with Risk and Insurance with regards to impairments and losses of fixed and moveable assets.
  • Ensure that work environment and tasks performed adheres to governance, risk management and legislative requirements.
  • Effective operations management and compliance with Batho Pele principles.
  • Ensure that the financial process comply with legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Manage teams ,identify required performance parameters and clarify roles to achieve operational goals.

The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
