Minimum Requirements:

  • BTech in Information Technology or relevant equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
  • Specialist capabilities in business continuity and disaster management
  • 5 - 8 years' experience in business continuity and disaster management within ICT environment
  • A valid driver's license

Core Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a plan to enable the business and ICT to respond to incidents and disruptions in order to continue operation of critical business processes and required ICT services and maintain availability of information at a level acceptable to the enterprise
  • Direct business continuity and disaster management to enable fast and reliable delivery of change to the business and mitigation of the risk of negativity impacting the stability or integrity of the changed environment
  • Implement business continuity and disaster management to mitigate the negative effects disruptions to services can have on CoE's strategic plans, reputation, operations, liquidity, credit quality and market position by implementing business continuity and disaster recovery policies, standards and procedures
  • Monitor and report on business continuity and disaster management compliance to minimise risk related to changes in ICT environment and ensure compliance to set standards and that objectives are met
  • Perform financial processes to ensure good governance and value delivery
  • Maintain customer service orientation to promote excellent customer relations

The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance contract as per Council resolution.
