Minimum Requirements:

  • BCom Degree or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in a finance environment within local government
  • Experience in asset management will be an added advantage

Core Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, control and supervise that the assets of CoE are properly managed, accounted for, and are properly recorded in the fixed assets register
  • Perform operational processes to ensure that the operational processes are achieved within the agreed parameters of SOPs, quality standards and service targets
  • Ensure governance and risk management to identify and manage governance and risk expose liability
  • Perform financial processes to ensure compliance with the MFMA and other financial-related legislation
  • Ensure customer service orientation to provide quality and effective customer service to all relevant stakeholders
