Duration: Six (06) Consecutive Months

Stipend: R3,621.00 Monthly

Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 (or equivalent)
  • South Africa Citizen
  • Resident of City of Ekurhuleni- (Specify Ward Number)
  • ICT background and experience will be an advantage
  • Demonstrable Knowledge of the Library Services and Programmes
  • Library experience / membership (will be an advantage)
  • Not currently participating in CoE Job Creation programme
  • Willingness to learn and take instruction from Supervisors

Core Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop programs in line with the library functions and activities
  • Assist with Community Skills Development Programs and Services in the libraries
  • Perform Library counter and shelving duties and related auxiliary services - when required
  • Required to work on Saturdays and flexi hours when required
  • To provide learners with afterschool support and tutoring (homework assistance)
  • Execute tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, public holidays, and school terms

Individuals currently participating in other job creation projects are not eligible to apply for these opportunities until they have completed a six-month cooling-off period following the conclusion of their previous participation.
